Calendula officinalis, otherwise known as pot marigold, is a very well-known herb in the cosmetic world. It was included in this formulation, because it helps to promote a more hydrated, healthy skin moisture barrier.

In addition, it will help to reduce sensitivity and soothe irritation. This is due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

Calendula flowers are rich in antioxidant compounds, including flavonoids, polyphenols, and carotenoids. These antioxidants help neutralize free radicals, limiting the effect they can have on the skin.

Just as chamomile helps calm the mind and body, it has similar effects on the skin.

All skin types can use it but sensitive skin types are likely to benefit most since chamomile extract soothes the skin.

These nutrients are known to fight against harmful free radicals and speed up cell regeneration, thereby improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

It helps to protect against long-term and short-term skin inflammation. Specifically, in the case of sunburns, it helps reduce DNA damage caused by too much UV exposure. This is why a cold compress of brewed chamomile tea placed on the sunburn can aid in a quicker recovery.

it is also rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which are integral for tissue and cell regeneration in the skin. It’s no wonder the oil has long been used as a remedy for wound healing, as well as the reduction of scars and fine lines.

Frankincense has a woody, spicy smell and can be inhaled, absorbed through the skin, or taken as a supplement.
